H.R. No. 2365
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Buna High School boys' golf team competed at the
District 23-3A Tournament at Chambers County Golf Course on April
6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Matched up against their league rivals, the Cougars
demonstrated poise and skill, shooting a total of 348 to take second
place and earn a spot in the regional tournament; and
WHEREAS, The team was led by Trey Fisher, who carded an 84; he
was followed by Tyler Nugent and Denton Holloway, who each scored
87, Kreston Richardson, who shot 90, and Lucas Sammons, Tyler
Serna, Quade Hebert, and Trent Tamplin, who scored 97, 98, 118, and
123, respectively; the players were guided by Buna golf coach
Ronnie Loftin; and
WHEREAS, Through their talent and determination, the members
of the Buna High School boys' golf team have contributed to their
school's tradition of athletic excellence, and they may take
justifiable pride in a job well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Buna High School boys' golf
team on its success at the district tournament and extend to the
players sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
