H.R. No. 2372
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Michael Saladin of Hardin-Jefferson High School
received well-deserved recognition when he was named to the 2015
Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont Enterprise; and
WHEREAS, A junior guard, Mr. Saladin posted averages of 21
points and 2.2 steals per game while connecting on better than 40
percent of his three-point attempts as well as 83 percent from the
free throw line; and
WHEREAS, In helping lead the Hawks to the regional
quarterfinals of the University Interscholastic League playoffs,
this talented young Texan's outstanding play garnered further
honors, including a place on the Texas Association of Basketball
Coaches All-State and All-Region squads and selection as the
District 24-4A Offensive MVP; and
WHEREAS, Michael Saladin's hard work and commitment to
excellence have been rewarded with this prestigious accolade, and
he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Saladin on being named to
the 2015 Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont
Enterprise and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Saladin as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
