| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This free, family-friendly festival, sponsored by |

| 11 | 12 | | KSAB Tejano 99.9 and KUNO La Tremenda, pays tribute to the area's |

| 12 | 13 | | rich Hispanic heritage; hosted by KSAB on-air personalities, the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | event features food, fun, and live mariachi and ballet folklórico |

| 14 | 15 | | music throughout the day, with performances by Michael Salgado, |

| 15 | 16 | | Solido, and many others; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Cinco de Mayo commemorates the stunning victory |

| 18 | 19 | | Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862; led by General Ignacio Zaragoza |

| 19 | 20 | | Seguin, an untrained militia of some 4,500 Mexicans defeated 6,500 |

| 20 | 21 | | French soldiers, considered to be among the best military troops in |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In celebrating Cinco de Mayo, we honor the ideals of |

| 24 | 25 | | seemingly overwhelming odds in behalf of a worthwhile cause, and it |

| 25 | 26 | | is a pleasure to join the citizens of Robstown in observing this |

| 27 | 28 | | speak to people around the world; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
