45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Jonathan Covey has ably served his fellow Texans as
67 chief of staff in the office of State Representative James White
78 during the 84th Legislature; and
89 WHEREAS, Since becoming a legislative employee, Mr. Covey
910 has contributed to the workings of state government firsthand;
1011 undertaking a wide variety of challenging tasks, he has provided
1112 vital leadership and helped ensure the efficient operation of the
1213 representative's office; and
1314 WHEREAS, Mr. Covey joined the staff of Representative White
1415 in September 2014; previously, he was a constituent services
1516 representative in the district casework office of a member of the
1617 United States House of Representatives; a graduate of Thomas Edison
1718 State College in New Jersey, he is a fourth-year student at Oak
1819 Brook College of Law, where he has served as a teacher's assistant;
1920 he has also completed a clerkship in the Orange County District
2021 Attorney's Office; and
2122 WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
2223 duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
2324 deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
2425 be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Jonathan Covey for his service as chief
2728 of staff in the office of State Representative James White and
2829 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his
2930 endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Covey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
