H.R. No. 2418
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary signifies a love that
has stood the test of time, and Jerry Don and Carolyn "Kati" Voss of
Sulphur Springs celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
on April 10, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Jerry Voss and the former Kati Lucas exchanged vows
of matrimony in 1965 in a ceremony officiated by the Reverend Vernon
Voss at the First United Methodist Church of Jasper; through the
years, the couple have nurtured a fulfilling union that has been
made even richer with the addition of three children, Tanya Voss,
Randal Voss and his wife, Pam, and Eric Voss and his wife, Amy, as
well as six grandchildren, Mason, Cade, Anna, Avery, Ashlyn, and
Sara; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Voss both enjoyed fulfilling careers
in the United States Air Force, during which they were stationed in
Laredo, Tucson, and Germany; after returning to civilian life, they
lived in Jasper for many years before making their home in Sulphur
Springs in 1988; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Jerry and
Kati Voss can delight in a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jerry and Kati Voss on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
