| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Dr. N. Carlos Mohamed and Teresa Mohamed, |

| 9 | 10 | | Yusef Mohamed was born in McAllen on May 6, 1987; he graduated from |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Trinity University with a biology degree in 2009, and went on to |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | attend Harvard University, where he received his master's degree; |

| 12 | 13 | | Mr. Mohamed worked for The University of Texas Health Science |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Center in McAllen as a research consultant in the Department of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Family and Community Medicine; passionate about science and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | medicine, he planned to follow in the footsteps of his father and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | two of his siblings and make his career in the health care field; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A devoted son, brother, and uncle, Mr. Mohamed |

| 19 | 20 | | brightened the lives of all who knew him with his radiant smile and |

| 20 | 21 | | his readiness to help others wherever he could; in his leisure time, |

| 21 | 22 | | he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time on his family's |

| 22 | 23 | | ranch; he also delighted in firing up his grill and preparing |

| 23 | 24 | | wonderful meals for his family and friends; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, While the life of Yusef Mohamed ended far too soon, |

| 25 | 26 | | those fortunate enough to have known him will remember his warmth, |

| 26 | 27 | | compassion, and luminous spirit, and he will forever hold a |

| 27 | 28 | | treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
