H.R. No. 2422
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wesley Gore of Evadale competed in the Big Bass
Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn on April 17-19, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 1984, Sealy Outdoors has
held annual Big Bass Splash tournaments for amateur anglers across
the southern United States; this year's event on Lake Sam Rayburn
drew many competitors, each hoping to win a share of $545,000 in
cash and prizes; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gore won $1,000 and was named one of the top five
anglers on the second day of the event for reeling in a bass that
weighed 9.66 pounds; and
WHEREAS, Through his participation in this popular event,
Wesley Gore demonstrated great skill and determination, and he is
indeed deserving of recognition for his accomplishment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Wesley Gore on his success at the
2015 Big Bass Splash on Lake Sam Rayburn and extend to him sincere
best wishes for calm waters and clear skies; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Gore as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
