45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Jamie Lee has ably served her fellow Texans as an
67 intern in the office of State Representative Mary González during
78 the 84th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lee has provided vital
910 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
1011 addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
1112 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
1213 valuable experience in the field of public service; and
1314 WHEREAS, A Dallas native and the daughter of proud parents
1415 Young and Myung Lee, Ms. Lee is a College of Natural Sciences
1516 undergraduate research fellow at The University of Texas at Austin,
1617 where she is working toward a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a
1718 public policy certificate; she has further distinguished herself
1819 through her service as president of the Natural Sciences Council,
1920 as a peer advisor in the CNS Dean's Office, and as a mentor through
2021 Women in Natural Sciences; and
2122 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2223 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
2324 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2425 therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Jamie Lee for her service as a
2728 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mary
2829 González and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2930 success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Lee as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
