| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |

| 7 | 8 | | Harrison Hunter Coons of Houston heralds a future bright with |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The son of Ken and Jamie Coons, this fine young Texan |

| 10 | 11 | | has mastered a number of important skills in his quest to become an |

| 11 | 12 | | Eagle Scout; he has earned merit badges requiring expertise in such |

| 12 | 13 | | diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and environmental |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | science, and he has gained experience in leadership and teamwork |

| 14 | 15 | | while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which involved |

| 15 | 16 | | overseeing 18 scouts as they refurbished the exterior of a senior |

| 16 | 17 | | citizen's house; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop No. 13 and a |

| 18 | 19 | | recipient of the Arrow of Light Award, Mr. Coons has served his |

| 19 | 20 | | peers as quartermaster, as patrol leader, and as president of Eagle |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Scout Crew, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many positive |

| 21 | 22 | | traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; furthermore, he is a |

| 22 | 23 | | talented musician, a member of the varsity track team, and a paid |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | intern with the Second Baptist Church media department; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |

| 25 | 26 | | attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Harrison Coons has demonstrated |

| 26 | 27 | | an unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its |

| 27 | 28 | | ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the |
