| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ariel Pena has been honored with a 2015 scholarship |

| 6 | 7 | | from the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show Association; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the association recognizes young people |

| 8 | 9 | | who have distinguished themselves through their participation in |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show, which takes place in |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | January; funded by proceeds raised at the event, the 2015 |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | scholarship awards were presented to 15 area high school seniors |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | based on a range of criteria, including academic achievement, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | college readiness, and membership in an FFA or a 4-H or Family, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Career and Community Leaders of America program; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A member of the Robstown FFA, Ariel Pena is |

| 16 | 17 | | graduating from Robstown High School and is looking forward to |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | University--Kingsville; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has brought great pride |

| 20 | 21 | | to his family and community, and the exceptional talent, aptitude, |

| 21 | 22 | | and drive that he has demonstrated are certain to serve him well in |

| 22 | 23 | | all his future endeavors; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ariel Pena on his receipt of a 2015 |
