| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The softball team from Foy H. Moody High School in |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Trojans captured the crown in dominant fashion, |

| 9 | 10 | | winning 17-0 via the mercy rule in just three innings of play; in so |

| 10 | 11 | | doing, they have now won at least a share of the district title in 11 |

| 11 | 12 | | consecutive seasons; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Under the guidance of head coach Paula Salinas, the |

| 13 | 14 | | Trojans upped their overall record to 19 wins against just 4 |

| 14 | 15 | | defeats, including a 14-1 mark in district competition; they have |

| 15 | 16 | | also earned a top 30 state ranking from the Texas Girls Coaches |

| 16 | 17 | | Association as they prepare for the bi-district round of the |

| 17 | 18 | | University Interscholastic League playoffs on May 1; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, These talented student-athletes have furthered |

| 19 | 20 | | their school's tradition of excellence on the diamond, and they are |

| 20 | 21 | | a source of great pride to their classmates and their many |

| 21 | 22 | | supporters in the community; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Foy H. Moody High School |

| 25 | 26 | | to the team's players, coaches, and staff sincere best wishes for |
