H.R. No. 2486
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dongmei Li has ably served her fellow Texans as a
Legislative Education Fellow in the office of State Representative
Mary E. González during the 84th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Li has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; her
primary focus has been on education issues, and while learning more
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
Lone Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of
public service; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jinzhong Li and Tianmei Giu, Ms. Li
is a student in the educational policy and planning doctoral
program at The University of Texas at Austin; she has been a Jackson
Scholar and a recipient of a College of Education Continuing
Fellowship; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
duties as a Legislative Education Fellow with skill and dedication,
and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine
work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Dongmei Li for her service as a
Legislative Education Fellow in the office of State Representative
Mary E. González and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Li as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
