45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Dongmei Li has ably served her fellow Texans as a
67 Legislative Education Fellow in the office of State Representative
78 Mary E. González during the 84th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Li has provided vital
910 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; her
1011 primary focus has been on education issues, and while learning more
1112 about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
1213 Lone Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of
1314 public service; and
1415 WHEREAS, The daughter of Jinzhong Li and Tianmei Giu, Ms. Li
1516 is a student in the educational policy and planning doctoral
1617 program at The University of Texas at Austin; she has been a Jackson
1718 Scholar and a recipient of a College of Education Continuing
1819 Fellowship; and
1920 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2021 duties as a Legislative Education Fellow with skill and dedication,
2122 and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine
2223 work; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby commend Dongmei Li for her service as a
2526 Legislative Education Fellow in the office of State Representative
2627 Mary E. González and extend to her sincere best wishes for
2728 continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for Ms. Li as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3031 House of Representatives.
