| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The National Association of Student Councils |

|---|
| 10 | 11 | | advisers with the knowledge, skills, and resources that students |

| 11 | 12 | | need to become active, engaged leaders in their schools and |

| 12 | 13 | | communities; the organization annually chooses an outstanding high |

| 13 | 14 | | school sponsor from each of the eight regions to compete at the NASC |

| 14 | 15 | | National Conference for the Warren E. Shull Adviser of the Year |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. West is a math teacher at Hardin-Jefferson, and |

| 17 | 18 | | over the course of her career, she has exemplified the highest |

| 18 | 19 | | ideals of her profession, fostering a positive educational |

| 19 | 20 | | environment for students while working to equip them with a sound |

| 20 | 21 | | academic foundation on which to build; in 2010 she was honored with |

| 21 | 22 | | the Eddie G. Bull State Advisor of the Year Award by the Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This exemplary educator has worked to instill in her |

| 24 | 25 | | students a lifelong love of learning and leadership, and her |
