H.R. No. 2504
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of the North East Bexar County Democrats are
gathering on May 7, 2015, for their annual Dining with Democrats
fund-raiser; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, this noteworthy organization
has been guided by faith in freedom, democracy, and principles of
good government; its members are committed to supporting the right
to vote and expanding participation in the electoral process; and
WHEREAS, The organization seeks to ensure that all Texans can
reach their full potential; accordingly, it promotes broader
opportunity through policies that advance quality public
education, affordable health care, meaningful employment, clean
air and water, and prosperity; it also works in behalf of secure,
tranquil communities and a safety net for the most vulnerable; and
WHEREAS, Through their dedication to the concept of honest,
ethical government that fairly serves the public interest, the men
and women of the North East Bexar County Democrats are making a
lasting difference in their city, state, and nation, and they may
take justifiable pride in their contributions; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby honor the North East Bexar County Democrats on
the occasion of its 2015 Dining with Democrats event and extend to
its members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
