H.R. No. 2509
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Kirbyville FFA Entomology team
distinguished themselves with their performances at the 2015
district and area competitions; and
WHEREAS, After honing their skills at the Stephen F. Austin
Career Development event in late March, team members Summer
Armitage, Laney Dennis, Makayla Johnston, and Raven Stegall
traveled to College Station on April 11 to take part in the McGee
Bend district contest and the area 9 competition; the team made a
fine showing, capturing second place in the district standings and
sixth among the area teams; and
WHEREAS, Through their participation in these events, the
members of the Kirbyville FFA Entomology team have demonstrated
great initiative and ability, and their dedication is sure to serve
them well in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Kirbyville FFA
Entomology team on their success in the 2015 district and area
competitions and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
