| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, These unique accolades recognize exceptional |

| 10 | 11 | | journalism that defends the freedom of the press as guaranteed by |

| 11 | 12 | | the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, supports the public's |

| 12 | 13 | | right to know, and champions the powerless and disadvantaged; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Competing in the category for newspapers with a |

| 14 | 15 | | circulation of less than 50,000, Ms. Torralva won the Defending the |

| 15 | 16 | | Disadvantaged Award for a series of stories published in the |

| 16 | 17 | | Caller-Times about a state-supported living center in the area; she |

| 17 | 18 | | was also a finalist in the investigative category for the same |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through her skill, hard work, and dedication to the |
