| 6 | 7 | | 1, 2015, with the passing of Dr. Morton H. Levy at the age of 83; |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Morton Levy was born on June 11, 1931, to Eve and |

| 9 | 10 | | Harry Levy in Brooklyn, New York; following his graduation from |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Jamaica High School and Adelphi University, he went on to earn a |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Pennsylvania, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and he became a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, After serving in the United States Air Force, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Dr. Levy enjoyed a successful career as a dentist that spanned more |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | than four decades; he was the head of dental services at Wilson |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Hospital, and he was a founding partner in Melamed, Levy, and Levine |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Dental P.C. in Binghamton, New York, before his retirement in 1997, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | when he moved to Florida and settled in Miami Beach; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Levy was engaged in the greater community as |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | well; a former president of the Oquaga Lake Improvement Association |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | and the Binghamton Rifle Club, he was also on the board of directors |

| 22 | 23 | | for the Family and Children's Society and the Jewish Community |

| 23 | 24 | | Center, where he was an actor in a number of productions, and he was |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | a longtime congregant of Temple Concord; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Dr. Levy enjoyed the love and |

| 26 | 27 | | support of his wife of 46 years, Brenda, and he was the proud father |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | of two sons, Robert and Harlan; an avid outdoorsman in his free |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | time, he took pleasure in skiing, shooting, and boating, and he |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | taught boater safety courses to young people; a man of many |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | interests, he delighted in political discussions and was never |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | hesitant to speak his mind; and |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Morton Levy lived a life that was rich in personal |

| 33 | 34 | | and professional achievements, and he leaves behind a record of |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | accomplishment that his loved ones can remember with pride; now, |
