R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alaina Garza has been named 2015 Teacher of the Year
for Clear Brook High School in the Clear Creek Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, A science teacher, Ms. Garza has served on the
faculty of Clear Brook High for eight years; she has taught a
variety of courses, including chemistry, advanced placement
biology, advanced anatomy and physiology, and integrated physics
and chemistry; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Garza inspires and motivates her students
through her passion for science, and she provides them with
real-life experiences that enhance instruction; in addition, she
has benefited the school as a sponsor or cosponsor for a number of
student groups, among them the Red Cross Club, Safe School
Ambassadors, and HOSA; and
WHEREAS, Rapid advancements in science are changing the world
around us, and by sharing her knowledge and instilling a love of
learning, Alaina Garza is helping to prepare young Texans for the
challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Alaina Garza on her selection as
2015 Teacher of the Year for Clear Brook High School and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
