| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Alaina Garza has been named 2015 Teacher of the Year |

| 6 | 7 | | for Clear Brook High School in the Clear Creek Independent School |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A science teacher, Ms. Garza has served on the |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | faculty of Clear Brook High for eight years; she has taught a |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | variety of courses, including chemistry, advanced placement |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | biology, advanced anatomy and physiology, and integrated physics |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and chemistry; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Garza inspires and motivates her students |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | through her passion for science, and she provides them with |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | real-life experiences that enhance instruction; in addition, she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | has benefited the school as a sponsor or cosponsor for a number of |

| 17 | 18 | | student groups, among them the Red Cross Club, Safe School |

| 18 | 19 | | Ambassadors, and HOSA; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Rapid advancements in science are changing the world |

| 20 | 21 | | around us, and by sharing her knowledge and instilling a love of |

| 21 | 22 | | learning, Alaina Garza is helping to prepare young Texans for the |

| 22 | 23 | | challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Alaina Garza on her selection as |

| 25 | 26 | | 2015 Teacher of the Year for Clear Brook High School and extend to |
