No. 2569 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Operator Laura Mays is among the Texas Department of Public Safety personnel from House District 68 who have rendered outstanding service at the Texas-Mexico border; and WHEREAS, Through her dedicated contributions to Operation Strong Safety, Operator Mays has helped to maintain border security in the Rio Grande Valley and to reduce crime in the region; and WHEREAS, Leaving her family and community behind for extended periods of time to fulfill her duties in this vital mission, Operator Mays has willingly placed herself in harm's way to safeguard the lives and property of her fellow citizens, and she is truly deserving of our gratitude and praise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Texas Department of Public Safety Operator Laura Mays for her valorous efforts at the Texas-Mexico border as part of Operation Strong Safety and extend to her sincere appreciation for her admirable public service; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Operator Mays as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
