| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, Dale and Janice Blackburn of Waco |

| 7 | 8 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 20, 2014; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn met at Waco High School in |

| 9 | 10 | | 1963 and were united in matrimony in 1964; through the years, their |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | family has grown to include their children and their spouses, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Michael and Dawn Khoury and Kevin and Cheley Parker, as well as |

| 12 | 13 | | their grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, they are both |

| 14 | 15 | | retired from tenures with Columbus Avenue Baptist Church; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |

| 16 | 17 | | half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |

| 17 | 18 | | in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love |

| 18 | 19 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |

| 19 | 20 | | grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dale and Janice Blackburn on their |
