| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, To advance to this prestigious competition, |

| 11 | 12 | | performing a Class I solo or a Class I piece with a small ensemble; |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Under the guidance of choir director Pamela Bridges, |

| 14 | 15 | | the University High students who earned first division ratings to |

| 15 | 16 | | qualify for state are Chyenne McGehee, Kiara Scott, Diana Hinojoza, |

| 16 | 17 | | and Elizabeth Rodriguez; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This notable feat is the culmination of countless |

| 18 | 19 | | hours of practice and an unwavering dedication to excellence, and |

| 19 | 20 | | these fine young Texans may indeed take justifiable pride in their |

| 20 | 21 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
