45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
67 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Harold and Anne Peter
78 of Waco celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on April
89 24, 2015; and
910 WHEREAS, Natives of Long Island, New York, Harold Peter and
1011 the former Anne Meskill were joined in matrimony in 1965 at a
1112 ceremony held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Rocky
1213 Point; and
1314 WHEREAS, The couple spent the first five years of their
1415 marriage in New York, after which they lived in three other states
1516 and one foreign country before settling in Waco in 1997; Mr. Peter
1617 is a member of the National Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc., and
1718 Mrs. Peter takes an active role with the Women's Society at
1819 St. Jerome Catholic Church; together, they enjoy spending time with
1920 their beloved daughter, Cheryl; and
2021 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peter have enjoyed five decades of
2122 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
2223 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
2324 commitment; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Harold and Anne Peter on their 50th
2627 wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
2728 continued happiness; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3031 House of Representatives.
