H.R. No. 2664
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Robinson High School girls'
junior varsity tennis team distinguished themselves with their
performance at the District 17-4A Tennis Tournament on April 10,
2015, capturing the district championship; and
WHEREAS, The Rockets were led by the mixed doubles teams of
Natalie Zavaleta and Christopher Bettinger in first place and
Abygale Herring and Jesse Smith, who finished in third place;
Ashley Rose was the runner-up in singles play, and the doubles team
of Hannah Laskoskie and Victoria Lopez claimed second place honors
as well; the team received valuable guidance throughout the
tournament from coach Jodi Olson; and
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the District 17-4A
tournament, these talented student-athletes have continued the
Robinson High School tradition of athletic achievement, and the
students may take justifiable pride in the skill and dedication
they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Robinson High School girls'
junior varsity tennis team on its performance at the District 17-4A
Tennis Tournament and extend to the team's athletes and coaches
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
