H.R. No. 2665
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jacob Turner, an eighth grader at Midway Middle
School in Waco, has earned well-deserved recognition for his
success at the 2015 regional spelling bee; and
WHEREAS, At the event, Mr. Turner triumphed over 10 other
students from the county to take first prize and qualify to compete
in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.; and
WHEREAS, Through his involvement with the regional spelling
bee, Jacob Turner has demonstrated great initiative and ability,
and he may indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Turner on winning the 2015
regional spelling bee and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Turner as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
