| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may bring comfort to |

| 6 | 7 | | the family and friends of Verle O. Crick of Corpus Christi, who |

| 7 | 8 | | passed away on February 28, 2015, at the age of 95; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born to William and Arletta Crick in Harlingen on |

| 9 | 10 | | November 29, 1919, Verle Crick served his country as a member of the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | United States Navy during World War II; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, He married the former Ruth Hughes in April 1942, and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | they were the proud parents of two children, Bob and Verletta; the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | family moved to Hart in 1952, where Mr. Crick farmed with his father |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | for a number of years; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Verle Crick lived a caring and purposeful life, and |

| 16 | 17 | | he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 18 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 19 | 20 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Verle O. Crick and |

| 20 | 21 | | extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |

| 21 | 22 | | daughter, Verletta Crick; to his daughter-in-law, DeLynn Crick; to |

| 22 | 23 | | his grandchildren, Tara Mizell, Brian Wolf, Barbara Smith, Kyle |
