45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may bring comfort to
67 the family and friends of Verle O. Crick of Corpus Christi, who
78 passed away on February 28, 2015, at the age of 95; and
89 WHEREAS, Born to William and Arletta Crick in Harlingen on
910 November 29, 1919, Verle Crick served his country as a member of the
1011 United States Navy during World War II; and
1112 WHEREAS, He married the former Ruth Hughes in April 1942, and
1213 they were the proud parents of two children, Bob and Verletta; the
1314 family moved to Hart in 1952, where Mr. Crick farmed with his father
1415 for a number of years; and
1516 WHEREAS, Verle Crick lived a caring and purposeful life, and
1617 he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held
1718 him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
1819 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
1920 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Verle O. Crick and
2021 extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
2122 daughter, Verletta Crick; to his daughter-in-law, DeLynn Crick; to
2223 his grandchildren, Tara Mizell, Brian Wolf, Barbara Smith, Kyle
2324 Crick, and Kaci Stuart; to his three great-grandchildren; to his
2425 niece, Linda Smith; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be
2526 it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2829 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Verle
2930 Crick.
