| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, In April 1973, Robstown native Ramon Alejandro |

| 10 | 11 | | opened Ray's Footwear, and though he continued to work in a refinery |

| 11 | 12 | | for a time, he took over management duties at the shop in 1976; over |

| 12 | 13 | | the years, he has had help from his children and nieces and nephews, |

| 13 | 14 | | but he now is moving toward retirement and runs the business |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Known for attentive personal service, Ray's |

| 16 | 17 | | Footwear has won the loyalty of many area residents while |

| 17 | 18 | | contributing to the prosperity of the region; after 42 years, the |

| 18 | 19 | | business has attained the status of a treasured community |

| 19 | 20 | | institution, and Mr. Alejandro indeed merits special recognition |

| 20 | 21 | | for his success; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ramon Alejandro on more than four |
