| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Easter is the most sacred celebration in the |

| 8 | 9 | | Christian faith, a time when people across the world join together |

| 9 | 10 | | to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the |

| 10 | 11 | | gospel's resonant messages of hope, redemption, and eternal love; |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Observed on the Sunday following the first full moon |

| 13 | 14 | | of the March equinox, Easter is the culmination of Lent, a 40-day |

| 14 | 15 | | period of fasting and prayer, and the final day of Holy Week; the |

| 15 | 16 | | week recounts Christ's last days on earth and crucifixion at the |

| 16 | 17 | | hands of Roman authorities, an event that is remembered with solemn |

| 17 | 18 | | reverence during Good Friday; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, For many Christians, Easter is a time to reflect on |

| 19 | 20 | | the miracle of Christ's resurrection, and to worship and gather |

| 20 | 21 | | with family and friends; many of Easter's venerable traditions |

| 29 | 30 | | message of salvation contained in the Easter story is a strong |

| 30 | 31 | | source of comfort and joy for many; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
