H.R. No. 2710
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, William and Ruth Alexander of Buna celebrated their
65th wedding anniversary on April 28, 2015, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1950, Mr. and
Mrs. Alexander exchanged the vows of matrimony in Bessmay, and over
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving
life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander count among their blessings
their children, Cathy Litton and her husband, Steve, and Ricky
Alexander Sr.; they are the grandparents of Ricky Alexander Jr.,
Courtney Wood and her husband, Charlie, Tiffanie Alexander, John
Bohler, Elizabeth Hampshire and her husband, Will, and the late
Joshua Alexander; today, their fine family also includes their
great-grandchildren, Remy and Heath Alexander, Kaitlyn Hampshire,
and Cameron Bohler, with whom they treasure spending many special
occasions; and
WHEREAS, For six and a half decades, William and Ruth
Alexander have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and
devotion, and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate William and Ruth Alexander and
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
