| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Michiel Noe has ably served the people of El |

| 6 | 7 | | Paso as a member of the city council; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Noe was first elected to represent District 5 in |

| 8 | 9 | | 2011; during his years in office, he has played an instrumental role |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | in a number of municipal projects and infrastructure improvements, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | and he has consistently advocated for adequate and accessible |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | health care options for his constituents; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, In addition to his vital work on the city council, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Dr. Noe has given generously of his time and talents to a number of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | community organizations; he is a graduate of the Neighborhood |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Leadership Academy, and he is active within the Rotary Club of El |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Paso; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan attended Permian High School, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | and went on to earn degrees from Angelo State University and the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Texas Tech School of Medicine; he completed his residency and later |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | taught in the field of obstetrics and gynecology; he entered |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | private practice in 2001, when he opened Sun City Women's Health |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | Care; respected within his profession, Dr. Noe is a former chief of |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | obstetrics and gynecology for the Del Sol Medical Center, and he |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | currently serves as a board member for the Sierra Providence East |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Medical Center and as chair of District 11 Section 1 of the American |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Dr. Noe enjoys the love and |

| 28 | 29 | | support of his wife, Elizabeth, and he takes great pride in their |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | five children; and |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | of Dr. Michiel Noe are helping to make El Paso an even better place |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |

| 34 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 35 | 36 | | Legislature hereby honor Dr. Michiel Noe for his service on the El |

| 36 | 37 | | Paso City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
