H.R. No. 2720
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Three members of the Kirbyville High School tennis
team distinguished themselves with their outstanding performance
at the Spring Regional Tennis Tournament at A&M Consolidated High
School in College Station on April 20-21, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Dominique Leh captured second place in girls'
singles competition, and the duo of Trenton Slaughter and Dennis
Leh finished third in boys' doubles, qualifying the three athletes
to participate in the University Interscholastic League state
tournament; and
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the Spring Regional
Tennis Tournament, these talented young Texans have brought credit
to their school, and they may take justifiable pride in the skill
and dedication they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dominique Leh, Trenton Slaughter,
and Dennis Leh on qualifying for the UIL state tennis tournament and
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
for the athletes as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
of Representatives.
