| 10 | 11 | | barbecue establishments from House District 45; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ladd Pepper, pitmaster at Old 300, grew up in Blanco |

| 12 | 13 | | and first learned the fine art of cooking Texas-style barbecue |

| 13 | 14 | | while working at a family-owned smokehouse near College Station; he |

| 14 | 15 | | earned a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences from Texas A&M |

| 15 | 16 | | University, but producing quality smoked meats became his true |

| 16 | 17 | | passion, and over the course of his career, he has hand-cut and |

| 17 | 18 | | served more than 8,000 premium grade beef briskets; in 2013, he |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
