R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Chris Canik has been named a 2015 Teacher of the Year
in the Magnolia Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to become
successful and productive adults, and those men and women who dedicate
their careers to teaching make a positive difference in the lives of
their students and in the communities in which they live; and
WHEREAS, Chris Canik has 14 years of experience as an
educator; he has taught music in the district for six years, and he
serves on the faculty of Magnolia Parkway Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
Chris Canik has worked to instill in his students a lifelong love of
learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Canik on his selection as a
2015 Teacher of the Year in the Magnolia Independent School
District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Canik as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
