5	6		WHEREAS, Chris Canik has been named a 2015 Teacher of the Year
6	7		in the Magnolia Independent School District; and
7		-	WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to become
8		-	successful and productive adults, and those men and women who dedicate
9		-	their careers to teaching make a positive difference in the lives of
10		-	their students and in the communities in which they live; and

11	13		WHEREAS, Chris Canik has 14 years of experience as an
12	14		educator; he has taught music in the district for six years, and he
13	15		serves on the faculty of Magnolia Parkway Elementary School; and
14	16		WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
15	17		walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
16	18		Chris Canik has worked to instill in his students a lifelong love of
17	19		learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives;
18	20		now, therefore, be it
19	21		RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
20	22		Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Canik on his selection as a
21	23		2015 Teacher of the Year in the Magnolia Independent School
22	24		District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
23	25		success with his important work; and, be it further
24	26		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
25	27		prepared for Mr. Canik as an expression of high regard by the Texas
26	28		House of Representatives.
