56 WHEREAS, Chris Canik has been named a 2015 Teacher of the Year
67 in the Magnolia Independent School District; and
7- WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to become
8- successful and productive adults, and those men and women who dedicate
9- their careers to teaching make a positive difference in the lives of
10- their students and in the communities in which they live; and

1113 WHEREAS, Chris Canik has 14 years of experience as an
1214 educator; he has taught music in the district for six years, and he
1315 serves on the faculty of Magnolia Parkway Elementary School; and
1416 WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
1517 walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
1618 Chris Canik has worked to instill in his students a lifelong love of
1719 learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives;
1820 now, therefore, be it
1921 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2022 Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Canik on his selection as a
2123 2015 Teacher of the Year in the Magnolia Independent School
2224 District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2325 success with his important work; and, be it further
2426 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2527 prepared for Mr. Canik as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2628 House of Representatives.
