| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Tulshi Patel has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Patel has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |

| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Originally from Houston, Ms. Patel is a student at |

| 14 | 15 | | The University of Texas at Austin, where she is majoring in chemical |

| 15 | 16 | | engineering; she has been named a University Leadership Network |

| 16 | 17 | | Scholar and a Posse Scholar, among other honors, and she has also |

| 17 | 18 | | been involved with the Indian Cultural Association, the American |

| 18 | 19 | | Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Kumon Tutoring Center; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 20 | 21 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 21 | 22 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
