| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Benjamin Thomas Green Pargmann of Boy Scouts of |

| 6 | 7 | | America Troop No. 49 in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, |

| 7 | 8 | | and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Pargmann earned the requisite 21 merit badges, and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for his Eagle Scout project, he constructed the Parvo Puppy |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Memorial Garden, honoring puppies that lost their lives to the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | parvo virus, for Austin Pets Alive; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A senior at McCallum High School and a member of the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | National Honor Society, Mr. Pargmann is an accomplished musician |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | and singer; he plays trombone in the school's concert band and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | performs with both the men's and mixed varsity choirs, and his vocal |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | talents have earned him recognition as a University Interscholastic |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | League Honor Chair First Edition state soloist; after graduation, |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | he will attend Austin College as a recipient of multiple |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | scholarships; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |

| 24 | 25 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | respect and admiration of the fellow members of his troop as he |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | worked toward the highest rank that the organization offers; he has |

| 27 | 28 | | ably served his troop in such positions as patrol leader, assistant |

| 28 | 29 | | patrol leader, and chaplain's aide; and |

| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Pargmann's dedication to excellence and |

| 30 | 31 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |

| 31 | 32 | | to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |

| 32 | 33 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
