| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Texas Heritage National Bank celebrated the 125th |

| 6 | 7 | | anniversary of its founding in 2014, and its locations in |

| 7 | 8 | | Daingerfield, Omaha, Ore City, and Sulphur Springs commemorated |

| 8 | 9 | | this noteworthy milestone throughout the month of May; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, On the first day of May in 1889, nine citizens of |

| 10 | 11 | | Daingerfield pooled their capital and formed the Bank of |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Daingerfield, with total assets of $26,000; three years later, the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | bank received a national charter and was renamed the National Bank |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | of Daingerfield; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Over the next century, the bank's assets grew to $43 |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | million; after a series of acquisitions and expansions, new |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | branches were established in Omaha, Ore City, and Sulphur Springs, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | and the bank became Texas Heritage National Bank; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In 2014, THNB had $110 million in assets and a |

| 19 | 20 | | diversified loan portfolio of $80 million; under the leadership of |

| 20 | 21 | | chair John Bryan, vice chair Danny Bockmon, and CEO and president |

| 21 | 22 | | Dwyatt Bell, THNB continues to thrive as a community bank, |

| 22 | 23 | | providing financial support and services to families, businesses, |

| 23 | 24 | | farmers, and ranchers; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Locally owned financial institutions play a vital |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | role in the economy and culture of Texas, and by carrying on its |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | proud traditions of meeting the needs of its customers and serving |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | the community, Texas Heritage National Bank is indeed deserving of |

| 28 | 29 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 30 | 31 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 125th anniversary of Texas |
