| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 100th birthday is indeed cause for celebration, |

| 6 | 7 | | and Bessie Justiss Cason of Winnsboro marked this significant |

| 7 | 8 | | milestone in her life on February 7, 2015; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The former Bessie Justiss was born in Snow Hill in |

| 9 | 10 | | 1915 to Una Joe and Willie Lowe Justiss, and she grew up with 11 |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | siblings on her family's farm in Morris County; she graduated from |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Daingerfield High School in 1935 and went on to attend Abilene |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Christian College; during World War II, she helped keep the Justiss |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | farm operational by driving to Dallas, Shreveport, Tyler, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Longview to collect supplies; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, She married Eugene Cason in 1946, and the couple |

| 16 | 17 | | were blessed with three children, Lowe Ann, Carolyn, and Scott; |

| 17 | 18 | | they lived in Daingerfield until 1958, when they moved to Atlanta, |

| 18 | 19 | | Texas, for Mr. Cason's work; after retirement, she and her husband |

| 19 | 20 | | enjoyed traveling with Mrs. Cason's brothers and sisters to such |

| 20 | 21 | | varied destinations as the Arctic Circle and Mexico; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Currently, Mrs. Cason resides in Winnsboro, and she |

| 22 | 23 | | looks forward to the annual family reunion at Caddo Lake; she |

| 23 | 24 | | delights in spending time with her loved ones, for whom she is a |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | source of great wisdom and joy; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Meeting life's challenges with resilience, |

| 26 | 27 | | optimism, and determination, Bessie Cason has gracefully reached |

| 27 | 28 | | the century mark and continues to enrich the lives of all who are |

| 28 | 29 | | fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it |
