| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Born in Crockett on March 26, 1940, Liz McGinty |

| 10 | 11 | | graduated from Texas Christian University and taught physical |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | education in the Austin Independent School District before her |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | retirement; she lived in Caldwell County for more than three |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | decades, and she was a tireless advocate for women, children, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | education, the arts, and the environment; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. McGinty was very active in the Caldwell County |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Democratic Party, and she served as a precinct chair and election |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | judge; in addition, she was president of the Texas Democratic Women |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | of Caldwell County for 2013 and 2014, and she was serving as the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | vice president of the Caldwell County Tejano Democrats; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, A valued member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, |

| 21 | 22 | | Ms. McGinty became a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity through her |

| 22 | 23 | | church involvement, and she served on the team that constructed |

| 23 | 24 | | Habitat's first home in Caldwell County; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Liz McGinty touched many lives through her activism |

| 25 | 26 | | and volunteer work, and she will forever hold a special place in the |

| 26 | 27 | | hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, |
