R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sofia Isabella Carrillo is graduating as the
salutatorian of the senior class of Bishop High School in 2015; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; Ms. Carrillo has demonstrated a
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her
favorites being mathematics, science, and history; in addition, she
participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including
National Honor Society, UIL academics, and the Bluebonnet Drama
Club; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jaime and Diana Carrillo,
Ms. Carrillo plans to continue her education by enrolling at The
University of Texas at Austin to study civil engineering; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Sofia Isabella
Carrillo has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Sofia Isabella Carrillo,
salutatorian of the Class of 2015 at Bishop High School, and extend
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the
next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Carrillo as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
