 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Cynthia Cervantes is graduating as the salutatorian
 of the senior class of Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi in
 2015; and
 WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
 highest academic standards; Ms. Cervantes has demonstrated a
 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her
 favorites being mathematics, science, history, English, and music;
 in addition, she participated in numerous extracurricular
 activities, including martial arts, band, and math club; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Jose and Lydia Orta, Ms. Cervantes
 plans to continue her education by enrolling at Del Mar College to
 study music composition; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Cynthia Cervantes
 has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and
 classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
 commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
 opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Cervantes, salutatorian of
 the Class of 2015 at Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi, and
 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Cervantes as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
