R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Makenzie Wright is graduating as the valedictorian
of the senior class of Banquete High School in 2015; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; Ms. Wright has demonstrated a thorough
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being
mathematics and animal science; in addition, she participated in
numerous extracurricular activities, including National Honor
Society, student council, and the volleyball team; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Tracy and Julie Wright, Ms. Wright
plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas A&M
University to study agriculture business and communication; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Makenzie Wright has
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Makenzie Wright, valedictorian of
the Class of 2015 at Banquete High School, and extend to her sincere
best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting
chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Wright as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
