45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Marisol Martinez is graduating as the valedictorian
67 of the senior class of Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi in
78 2015; and
89 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
910 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1011 highest academic standards; Ms. Martinez has demonstrated a
1112 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her
1213 favorites being mathematics and science; in addition, she
1314 participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including the
1415 school newspaper, the running team, and National Honor Society; and
1516 WHEREAS, The daughter of Cristobal and Reina Martinez,
1617 Ms. Martinez plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas
1718 Tech University to study architecture; and
1819 WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Marisol Martinez
1920 has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and
2021 classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
2122 commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
2223 opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
2324 it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Marisol Martinez, valedictorian of
2627 the Class of 2015 at Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi, and
2728 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
2829 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Ms. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
3132 Texas House of Representatives.
