H.R. No. 2894
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Buna High School baseball team
won the District 23-3A championship; and
WHEREAS, Led by the six-hit complete game pitching
performance of Kreston Richardson, the Cougars claimed the district
crown with a 4-3 victory over Kountze High School; the team
benefited throughout the season from the able guidance of head
coach Kevin Terrier; and
WHEREAS, In capturing the district title, the Cougars
achieved an important goal and brought credit to their school, and
they may take justifiable pride in the skill and dedication they
demonstrated on the way to their success; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Buna High School baseball team
on winning the District 23-3A championship and extend to the
players, coaches, and staff sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
