| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, William and Ruth Martin of Waco |

| 7 | 8 | | celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2015; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Billy Martin and the former Ruth Kelly were united |

| 9 | 10 | | in matrimony at Central Cathedral in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, in |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | 1980; through the years, their family has grown to include their |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | children, Lisa Ann Green and her husband, Eddie, and Anna Ruth Creel |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and her husband, Nicholas, as well as their granddaughter, Isabella |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Green; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Martin |

| 15 | 16 | | worked with the United States Department of Justice for 25 years and |

| 16 | 17 | | served as McLennan County justice of the peace for Precinct 1, Place |

| 17 | 18 | | 2, for 14 years before his retirement, while Mrs. Martin has |

| 18 | 19 | | devoted herself to her home and family throughout their marriage; |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past 35 |

| 21 | 22 | | years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |

| 22 | 23 | | their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has |

| 23 | 24 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |

| 24 | 25 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
