| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Hannah Bratton has been named a 2014 Corpus Christi |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Caller-Times/Citgo South Texas Distinguished |

| 9 | 10 | | Scholars program was established to reward local students who have |

| 10 | 11 | | demonstrated excellence in such areas as academics, athletics, |

| 11 | 12 | | leadership, and community service; since its inception in 1988, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | some 480 young men and women have been selected for this prestigious |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | honor, with the winners each receiving a stipend to assist with |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | college expenses; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Johanna and John Bratton, Hannah |

| 16 | 17 | | Bratton is a senior at Tuloso-Midway High School, where she |

| 17 | 18 | | maintains a 105.4 grade point average and ranks second in her class |

| 18 | 19 | | of 246; in addition to earning high academic marks, she serves as |

| 19 | 20 | | historian of the National Honor Society and the Junior Engineering |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Technical Society and as a photographer for the school newspaper |

| 21 | 22 | | and yearbook; after graduation, she plans to study civil |

| 22 | 23 | | engineering at Texas A&M University; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has pursued her goals |

| 24 | 25 | | with tremendous dedication, and she may take great pride in all that |
