 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Gene and Bobbie Cox of
 Lorena celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 8,
 2015; and
 WHEREAS, Gene Cox and the former Bobbie Pace were joined in
 matrimony in 1955 at a ceremony held at the Bruceville Baptist
 Church; today, their family includes their son, Paul Cox, and his
 wife, Whitney, as well as three grandchildren, Ashley Bradley and
 her husband, Dustin, Samantha Schneider and her husband, Jacob, and
 Sean Cox, twin great-granddaughters, Ava and Kaitlyn Bradley, and a
 special great-niece, Allie Copeland; they are also the parents of
 the late Steven and Mitchell Cox; and
 WHEREAS, A U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam,
 Germany, and 11 states during his 27-year career as a fighter pilot
 and electronics systems engineer, Mr. Cox retired with the rank of
 colonel and the couple returned to Texas; he spent 17 years in
 civilian employment in the Dallas area, retiring as vice president
 of manufacturing from Continental Electronics; Mrs. Cox retired
 from ACT Insurance Company; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cox have enjoyed six decades of abiding
 love and affection for each other, and they are among an exceptional
 group of men and women who can claim such a lasting commitment; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Gene and Bobbie Cox on their 60th
 wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
