 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Elie Wu has ably served her fellow Texans as a
 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu
 during the 84th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wu has provided vital
 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
 addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
 valuable experience in the field of public service; during her
 tenure, she has worked on two of Representative Wu's bills and
 reviewed policy in a number of important areas, while also
 contributing her writing talents to communications projects; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Wu is a graduate of The University of Texas at
 Austin, where she earned a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and
 writing honors and Portuguese; she served her peers as a leader in
 the UT Sciences Toastmasters Club, and she was an active member of
 the UT Liberal Arts Council; outside of her scholastic activities,
 she has been a dedicated volunteer with the Austin Children's
 Shelter and Caritas of Austin; and
 WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Elie Wu for her service as a legislative
 aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and extend to her
 sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Wu as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
