56 WHEREAS, The Chester High School boys' 4 x 400-meter relay
67 team achieved great distinction by participating in the 2015
78 University Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
89 WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
910 Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 15, Billy Thompson, Keaton
10- Whitworth, Cord Neal, and Chris Carter
11- turned in a notable
11+ Whitworth, Cord Neal, and Chris Fudge turned in a notable
1212 performance; they achieved a time of 3 minutes, 39.93 seconds, to
1313 earn a seventh-place finish in this hard-fought contest; and
1414 WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's
1515 premier showcase for high school track and field athletes, these
1616 fine young Texans have ably represented their school, and they may
1717 indeed reflect with pride on their accomplishments; now, therefore,
1818 be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2020 Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Chester High
2121 School boys' 4 x 400-meter relay team on participating in the Class
2222 1A competition at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend
2323 to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2424 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2525 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2626 House of Representatives.
